System incidents (phone restarts)

Screenshot_2016-01-07-19-40-40.pngi i already encountered almost 3 system incidents since i purchased my z5. The first one occured last december. I dont know why. But the recent one was when I was playing a game. The phone will first shut down then red light flashes several times then it will reboot. I hope someone will reassure me this will be fixed through software updates and the price of this phone is no joke. I wont accept this happening to it.  Thank you in advance!

So I'm confused, you said that the battery was replaced but you didn't wanted the phone to be repaired? but now you want a replacement? a replacement of what?

Yes they did replaced my phone's battery. What I mentioned and signed only in the Job Order I made was. "I refuse my phone to be repaired and I demand a replacement since my phone is brand new". Until I found out that my phone had its battery replaced. Now I am demanding madly that my phone must be replaced.

I don't understand why the phone will be replaced, again, this is a user based forum, you have to contact your Local support and stay in contact with them, keep us updated.

I know. I am only updating like you said.

Ill ask you a thing. You bought a phone worth approx. $800 and it will be opened and had its battery replaced. In less than a month since you bought it. What will you feel? esp you know no fault was done in your part.

If I buy a phone or any expensive electronic and it starts acting up soon after, I would return it to the store.

Exactly. But the store needs a document from sony service center. So I brought it, and they replaced my battery. Cool Grinning_Face I guess sony does not have protocols about phone replacements. Seems they don't have an idea what am I needing.

I appreciate that. Today sony called me, they said my phone replacement was approved. I dont know if they were pushed by the complaint letter that ive made to the authorities. I cc'ed sony in the e-mail Slightly_smiling_Face I guess its effective. Now im happy. I really love sony, just the aftersales is not. Im really happy hearing the news Grinning_Face its just weird they opened my phone while im wanting a replacement.

This is a widely known issue with Xperia devices and something needs to be done about it! It seems these random "system incidents" are happening more and more after software updates. I too suffer from them and I'm using a Z3. My phone was perfect until the last system update I received then s##t went down hill from there. It's definitely not an app that came pre-installed in your phone, like Avg. The battery is probably not the culprit either. I truly believe it's Sony firmware imo. One question did your device usually reboot/softboot in mornings or after a long period of time sitting idle?

One thing I think is ridiculous is that useless diagnostic app. Tells you nothing!! Just says system incident...well okay that's great, but can the app give more detail and explain why? Some kind of crash log. So unhappy with Sony atm, two of my friends have bought brand new devices and are suffering the same issue now. Anyway good luck I hope your issue gets resolved.
