Microphone issue Xperia Z1

Hi!

I recently bought 6 Xperia Z1 to the company and now we can´t hear eachother anymore.
There´s constant brakes and after a minute or two the voice disappears completly and there´s
nothing to do but to end the call.

What to do?

Best regards/ Christine

I have microphone issue with Z1 now - how to reproduce:

mic test:

talking to mic from distance - no problem

talking to mic when head touches screen - stuttering

What is that?

I found solution for this problem but you need to ROOT your phone.

In build prop:

persist.audio.fluence.voicecall : false

no audio stuttering so far.

I'm not sure if this option is accessible through any configuration option in phone menu, but I guess not.

This probably deactivates dualmic noise cancelation (or other fancy stuff?)

I have Primary MIC problems to. Both Calls and Video Recording not work properly.

Now im on Cyanogenmod 11 and my video recording using primary microphone and works like a charm but

calls still doesnt work. Maybe some tweak to force phone use SEcondary MIC even for calls?

Same problem. I noticed it after flashing last .757 kitkat firmware. It seems firmware replaced functions of 1st and 2nd mics with each other! Go to Properties, about phone, diagnostics, and run Microphone test, you'll see that 2nd mic takes voice much better, cleaner & louder! Looks like programm issue. Any suggestions?

Sorry 4 my english.

Yep second MIC works like a charm. Only thing to fix this is hack custom kernel and force phone use secondary MIC but i dont think any developer made this yet and if it is even possible.

Its realy wierd that many people have problems with their Z1 microphones and Sony doesnt care about it.

Its not one time problem. Many people have this issues.

Is should be replaced without any questions by Sony

Same problem here, I'm sick of Sony not bringing an update to fix the issue.

Sony dont make people go to iPhone and samsung, you are running too fast with 6 month launch cycle
Perfect one phone then launch next, learn from Samsung .
