Microphone issue Xperia Z1

Hi!

I recently bought 6 Xperia Z1 to the company and now we can´t hear eachother anymore.
There´s constant brakes and after a minute or two the voice disappears completly and there´s
nothing to do but to end the call.

What to do?

Best regards/ Christine

Update: I have just received my THIRD new Xperia Z1 from rogers, for any of you contacting Sony or trying to reset your phone back to factory as they ask you to do: stop wasting your time. This third new phone has the exact same issues as the first two. It's a hardware issue for which they have a global shortage of parts for. You can send it in for repairs and wait, but I'm going to try selling mine to the first **bleep** on kijiji. P.S. I wonder if Sony would care to comment on these issues, or is this forum for figuring out the problems amongst ourselves?

After having sent my Z1 in for a screen repair, it came back with this microphone issue. Now, any calls on loudspeaker are muddled with horrifying interference. It does however only seem to be on calls, as running Xperia diagnostics shows the microphone to be working fine, as does the service menu. The microphone also seems to work fine for shooting video.

It's been updated to the latest firmware (.136) which I was reluctant to do because of the audio problems with sound enhancements - however, in an attempt to fix the mics, I was forced to. I've tried clipped SIMs, factory cut SIMs and those same SIMs in my Z Ultra (where they both make calls perfectly well).

Truly disappointed - that SBE repair centre is a total joke. My Xperia S went back and forth three times with the initial problem being the yellow tint issue. Sony needs to sit up and take note, SBE aren't helping at all.

My Z1 has been booked in again, this time as a 'VIP' repair - I look forward to seeing how 'VIP' this turns out to be...tbc.

I just received my Z1 back from repairs (screen damage from a very short drop), and now nobody can hear me clearly on a call.  They say I sound like I'm covering the microphone, and can't make out half of what I'm saying.  I've turned off all the audio enhancements, but no joy.  Sending it back to the repairers tomorrow, but reading some of these posts I'm worried I might be hitting a brick wall with this issue.  It was working fine before the repair.  Curious to see if anyone here experiences success with a fix.

Glad I bought a Moto G as a backup!

Edit: BTW, my SIM is a factory-made micro, and I've updated to the latest version, build 14.2.A.1.136

So, my Z1 came back this morning (18/03) - lo and behold, its got the same problem!  The SBE System showed 'No fault found', clearly bound to be the case as they're most probably using Xperia diagnostics to check the function.

Its booked in again, this time (third) if they fail to fix the issue, I'll take legal action.  This simply isn't good enough.

Let us all know how it goes, I just recently sent mine back for repairs with similar options, 2nd time sending in, 3rd replacement device, all faulty.

My microphone is worse and wortse. And Reset everything with companion and updatetool

I can´t believe what is happening with this "best product" from Sony. I´m surpirise with the lack of solutions Sony reports.
