Microphone issue Xperia Z1

Hi!

I recently bought 6 Xperia Z1 to the company and now we can´t hear eachother anymore.
There´s constant brakes and after a minute or two the voice disappears completly and there´s
nothing to do but to end the call.

What to do?

Best regards/ Christine

I'm the owner of a Xperia z1 since one year. This problem has never been solved by any new install or reset. I will never buy any Sony material. They consider their customers as uter jerks. Nice adverts on tv, but no reliable supplies. Z3 is a debug set of the z2, which is a debug set of the z1, wich is a debug set of the z....Etc... And The z3 is already unable to be reliable too. Microphone volume is not the only problem on the z1... Focusing is ineficient on the camera... each updates often ends with problems... Etc.... Keyboard unable to manage by the right way two langages...

Before, i was the owner of a simple low cost smartphone from Wiko,... Really more reliable!

Bye bye Sony! Lg G4 and Samsung note 4 seems really better!

I have had my Zperia Z1 compact for just over a year now and it worked perfectly fine with crystal clear calls. Just recently people have been complaining that they can not understand me and im 'Breaking Up' even though I could hear them fine. I turned off noise suppression and that did nothing.

Someone then suggested to me that maybe the microphone port is blocked by dust and crap from my pockets. They told me to get an old tooth brush and just clear out the speaker port at the bottom of the phone and make sure all the little holes were open. I did this and now people can hear me perfectly fine! Its free so its worth a shot..

Recently updated my Xperia Z1 software to Android Lollypop 5.0.  After this updation, when I make a call or receive a call, my voice is not clear and audible to other person, it gets breaked, which ends up with no proper communication.  I got fed up with this.  since then I am not using my device.  Can any one suggest how to overcome this problem.  Before updation, there was no problem at all.

Go to call settings and " turn off microphone noise suppression" is theeee solution. Thanks to Mr. Mats_w for suggesting this

The reason is the secondary mic(near to camera) and ear speaker were placed in back to back so during the calls the receiver hear their own voice and noise it can be rectified(not fully maybe partially) by using these settings..
Set ON microphone noise suppression option and equaliser as normal or smooth and disable speaker voice enhancement....
