Hi,
I got a notification yesterday on my sony Xperia Z3, asking for an update using Sony PC Companion, i did it and then it said that a network problem has occured, and from that point on, when i try to power the phone it says " the software update failed, make sure the phone is connected to the computer and try again "
I tried the "power button + volume up" when charging, the phone started powering on and off all the time and after an hour it got really hot ! I was so scared so I unplugged it. An now i ran out of solutions.
Please tell me I didn't lose my 1 month old Z3 already, please.

I have had the same problem. I was updating my Xperia Z3 software with Sony PC Companion and near to the end a text mesage said: the language is Spanish, but it say there is some error and it has been canceled the updating. You can read it to the end of this mesage.
And after that I can´t conect my phone to my computer and to the charguer neither. It´s no possible to conect to my computer since that moment. And the screen its turn on and of continunsly. How I can fix it without losing my warranty?
Thank You
How can I run it in compatibility mode with windows 7?
because PC Companion does not start the repair process. I dont know how to fix it!!!!
some help, please!!!
Thank you
You may need to perform a software repair using PC companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.
Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).
Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).
Right click on the executable-properties-compatibility tab-run in compatibility mode with windows 7/xp.
I ´ve done it, but it is the same mesage again. That is not the solution.... What can I do again?
Maybe norton 360 is blocking it, but I have tryied to turn off and the problem is the same. Do you have any new idea? Thank you
Yes,remove the antivirus or add the program as an exception.
