R/W speed is system restricted, but it's always optimal to have a fast card, for Z2 any class 10 should work, but of corse the best cards tsted were the SanDisk Ultra for mobile, they give the optimum speed for flagship models, and don't slow down the cam and photo app when wrighting the photo on it. Had the sams. class 8 32GB, but i found the Z2 to be little laggy in camera mode, changed for class 10 sandisk also 32GB and it works smoother, also with movies played back and access times thru commander.
Best test... put a lot of photos on the card, and open gallery with no apps in background, if you notice the miniatures to load slowly and see the loading circle it means card is slow,
quad cored Z2 should show all images immediatly after entering the gallery, when reading speed of card exceeds the speed of the device.
Sandisk or Sony 32/64/128 GB class 10 or UHS I microSD card. But other brands might work well too.
Im currently using the Sandisk Extreme microSDXC UHS-I 64GB.
Very happy with it.
Check it out

Hi
I just ordered sandisk xtreme micro card as you advised. I checked on Amazon and there are great reviews.
Im using ordinary Kingston now and I have problems with speed and with dates. It does not recognise original dates of making photos or movies. When I moved from internal memory to sd cards, all photos and movies was all over the place, which preatty enoying.
I hope with Sandisk I want get issues with dates, because I dont expect to get problems with speed there.
So you did not have any problems with transfering photos with original dates?
I was thinking that I will get Sony card up to 40 mb/s but it seems to be slower than Sandisk but than I would be sure will not have compatibility issues (like dates).
What do you think?
Cheers and thanks for an answer.
I went for sandisk xtreme 32 gb up to 45mb/s.
I hope it will be full compatibile with my z2.
Thanks for an answer.
You should not have any problems with the new card.
Sandisk Extreme 45 mb/s
Sandisk Extreme Plus Micro SDHC Card 32gb 80 mb/s
Sandisk Extreme PRO Micro SDHC Card 32gb 95 mb/s
Will that matter for Z2 phone experience that high sd card speed?
I went for Sandisk Extreme 45 mb/s
is that enough for Z2 or it is worth to pay more for faster option like Xtreme Plus or PRO?
Thanks
As you already know - the minimum read/write speed for use with 4K recording is 30MB/s so the card you bought what is the minimum read.write speed or is it 45MB/s
Thanks
And what about burst mode in Z2
speed 45mb/s can handle this?
Very High speed SD card does matter for Z2 phone?
Sandisk Extreme 45 mb/s
Sandisk Extreme Plus Micro SDHC Card 32gb 80 mb/s
Sandisk Extreme PRO Micro SDHC Card 32gb 95 mb/s
