Xperia Z1 camera - blurry pictures with noise and washed colours

Hi Everyone,

I'm a little concerned about the performance of the Xperia Z1 camera.

I had read already in some reviews that the pictures are not too sharp and the colours are washed, but now i have experienced it myself.

This camera should be way better than the camera in the iPhone 5, but i'm getting sharper images and more realistic colours with the iPhone. There is a lot of noise in the Z1 pictures, the Superior Auto mode is not getting things right, neither in focus, picture sharpness or colors.

I was expecting this camera to be very sharp and accurate, but i found out it's not near that. As per all the effort Sony has put in advertising the Z1 camera, i think we should get a software update and improve the camera a lot.

Do you think this is a software problem? Every Xperia Z1 review i've read points that out.

Let's file a consumer court case I have replaced it 5 times since the last month I have taken it.

Hi,

I have received two update since i bought z1 c6903 in october. I still have few issues with camera

1. Superior auto mode photo are mostly out of focus and grainy
2. Pictures are better but hazy even in manual mode with touch focus ( both 8 mp and 20 mp )
3. Pictures are out of focus/grainy in low light . 
4. Light isblurry in light 
5. only 4:3 is available in 20 mp mode

Something looks bad on software side. Is there any fix for it ?

I feel proud of my Z1 camera, especially when I show off the pictures to my friends who using Iphone, HTC, Sumsung and other model of sony as well.... When you say "too bad", could you post your pictures for reference? Could you make some comparison with the pictures you think "very good'?

As my experience, it is the best phone camera in sony so far. Anyway I just spoke out my personal feeling.

looking forward to see your "bad" pictures captured by Z1. In support forum, we can share the experience with each other, discuss and discover how to use it better.  It's more valueble than just complaining about anything.

Have you noticed that the Z1 camera often crooks pictures, or bends them somehow, as if they were slightly streched? This sometimes happens even if the camera is steady. And what about this ProCapture, what exactly does it do better and does it limit functionality somehow?

well the pictures are less noisy...and it haves support for the Z1 camera resolution(Pro Capture the paid version)......+it haves the reduce noise setting etc it works much better for me at least
