I missed a call from somebody today, and when I touched the "Phone" application to find out the time of the call, I got the following message:
"The application Contacts (process com.sonyericsson.android.social phonebook has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I now get this message every time I attempt to use the phonebook, which basically means I can no longer make calls. I can still receive calls, and everything else seems to work okay.
Shutting down the phone and re-starting it did not fix the problem.

I'm having the exact same problems as many others have listed, calendar failed, whatsapp failed, google+ failed, ect. One person suggested to uninstall them, this too is not working. As I attempt to uninstall what's app it crashes and the phone reboots. Help!
Uninstall google services.
I also had the same issue with phone book (cannot add new contacts). Deleting google play services worked for me.
How do you uninstall Google Play Services? Only Play Store shows on my phone and it will only let me uninstall updates.
Settings-apps-all-google play services. To be able to remove the updates,go to settings-security-device administrators, remove Android.
Nope, cant do any of that
This should work, are you sure that if you go to settings-security-device administrators, you cannot untick Android device manager?
