For all those with battery problems, try this and see what happens

My friends, i can see you have many problems with the batery life. I don't know if any of you has noticed this, but when the phone is charging and it reaches 100%, you shouldn't remove the charger. The phone is still charging even after reaching 100%,sometimes for half an hour. If you want to see when the phone is fully charged, go to Settings-About phone-Phone status. In the first field you can find if the phone is or is not fully charged. Try this and let's see what happens. I hope i can help some of you.

Hey, I'm considering to buy the Sony Xperia P. But I've been reading through the forum, and I've seen nothing more then problems with the battery. Is it really that bad ? I don't want to spend money to a smartphone that hasn't got the power supply to work...

Should I buy it, or look to another phone. (Possibly from another brand)

The battery found in the xperia p is not too great, but with moderate use you could get 2-3 days without charging. And it at least gets you through the day.

Other specs are good. The updates come slow with delays of months and firmware can be buggy and could use some optimization.

You really have to decide for yourself, but if a good battery is important to you: dont look at sony phones!

actually it depends on what kind of user is using the XP.. i have many many xperia phones and other brands like HTC oneX or Galaxy Note, and even though XP has only 1320mah batt, the white magic really helps alot in saving power, provided u dun set it at too bright a setting, as the whitemagic is already very bright at minimum. In fact I always set it at the minimum brightness indoors, only when i am outdoors will i use auto brightness.. so with that, it really saves tons of power.. and if u have wifi signals around, it helps to save power too by using less transmision of signal over long distance thru 3G, thereby saving even more.. with these 2 ways, I have been able to extend the power even with heavy usage, especially since I surf web most of the time.. and white background of the web pages suits XP as it uses its white pixels predominantly, thereby using less power compared to other types of screens like Amoled..

As I'm still going to the secondary school, I obviously can't say 'Mhm, my battery is running low, going to plug it in and recharge it'. So it has to last a day at minimum.

Think I could, listen 1 hour to music + sending text messages around the day + Use some apps regulary ?

such usage should not be an issue..

In that case the battery will more than suffice. The battery isn't that bad. But count on recharging it once in 2-3* days. The battery charges fairly fast too btw.

*(3 is maximum that i could get with moderate use, moderate = 1 hour browsing, half an hour playing games and checking twitter g+ in this case)

A'ight, well in that case it's less worse then expected :smileyhappy:. As I've read that people had to recharge their cellphones after 5 hours or so.

But thx for the help, getting the Phone this Friday!

Yes,you can get up to 2 days if using the phone often, but if you play about 1 and a half hour big games, the battery will drain like juice. And also with a lot of browsing and internet access,so you need to know that with other kind of usage the phone can do better.
