Z5 no longer shows the number of notifications I have on each app

Since I have updated to Marshmallow last night, my Z5 no longer shows the number of notifications I have on each app 😞 Anyone else have this problem? Notifications still appear in the notifications bar but not on the apps themselves (the little number).

I also have this problem on Z5 Premium Dual. I noticed it only in Whatsapp.

Since update to marshmallow on z5 compact I'm not getting any whatsapp notification counter,any one have any idea when this will be fixed

I have the same issue on my z5 premium. There is no counter on the official Sony phone icon and text message icon. This must be a bug. Didn't have this issue on 5.1.1 but it is a bug in 6.0.0 please can you guys at Sony correct this bug

Yes I read it.

Just want to give my support to this thread and maybe hurry up the solution. Whatsapp is one of the most used apps in the world and they keep this bug because of stupid API's? How do they do the beta testing?

I understand but you should contact Whatsapp developers as its up to them to address this, not Sony.

That doesn't seem logical, think about the thousand of apps that are there, it's up to the app developer to address such issues, with that said, you can give your feedback to Sony directly >> > Local support

Where are we on this? Is it Sony's problem or WhatsApp? Are any other manufacturers having the same issue since Marshmallow upgrade? For example, is the Galaxy S6 having the same problem?

The WhatsApp website says the following "The message counts next to the WhatsApp icon are called badges. This is a feature provided by your phone's manufacturer."... So is the problem with Sony?
