headset not supported? with the Sony headset that came with the phone...

Issue in the topic thread.

The headset that comes with the phone can stop and start the music (button pushing) when its playing through the speaker, but when i remove the headset it says "headset not supported. ..."

Running the latest software as far as i know: 14.3.A.0.681

I wanted this phone to be my iPod replacement... so the headphone jack working is a big deal and killing me now.. No headset that i have tried has worked, not once. The phone is a week old only and has not been anywhere near water so i don't think it's water damager.

Other thoughts:

- it looks like the flash bleed can be fixed with a sharpie.

- battery lasts a long time with heavy screen on time.

so ''clear data'' will erase everything i have on my phone?

It will only reset the app.

My phone is z3 all of a sudden my earphones doesnt work it keeps on saying not supported. Guys help me fix it i miss my sound trip alot. Ive teied rebooting and everything.
