The receivers always hear an echo from my phone, and the soud quality is bad.
I tried to change all the sound settings available, nothing works.
Anyone had same issue already ?

Hi,
I am also experiencing the same echo / bad sound issues with my brandnew Z2.
I've tried all recommended settings (e.g. noise suppression on/off, equalizer, etc.), factory-reset, software repair with SUS /PCC, etc.etc. But nothing helps.
I am also on the latest 402 firmware but all problems remain.
Every caller complains I am hardly understandable during calls whereas I can understand the other part crystal clear.
Has anyone who contacted Sony Service with the problem received any help?
I would be grateful for any help.
Many thanks in advance.
Cheers
Sam
I am also having massive echo issues during calls with my new Xperia Z2.
How do the Sony service centers react to this problem? Do they repair or issue a replacment?
I am quite speechless that there is as of yet no feedback from Sony regarding this substantial fault which renders the phone useless.
Best
I too am having exactly the same problem as everyone else here. Tried the firmware update and no joy. I contacted Xperia Care earlier today and was told THERE IS NO KNOWN ISSUE with the Z2!!!! I mentioned this particular thread on the forum and the half wit just repeated that there is no known issue. At this point I realised that I was either talking to idiots or they know all about it but aren't prepared to take responsibility for the problem. Basically they are trying to cover themselves. I expected a **bleep** of a lot better from Sony. I imagine this post will be completely ignored as well!
My new Z2 has the following issues:
During phonecalls
- Microphone perfomance is very weak, so that my voice is only very muffled, stacked and with static noise so that the other party cannot understand me
- the other party has a serious echo of his own voice
The phone is ununsuable for telephoning.
Seriously, what was Sony thinking?
Is there no quality control for their products?
Then look at this long thread running since April already an no workaround or official statement from Sony.
I am truly embarrassed.
Thanks Alex, I tried this an the problem still seems to occure..Have returned the phone..hopefully will get the new one with out any issues...:(
Please keep us updated.
I am also having the same problems as all other users posting in this thread.
I have updated today to the brand new software-version 17.1.1.A.0.438.
People will be interested to know that the new software in my case helps against the echo issues.
However the microphone issues still remain. Callers can not understand me during phonecalls.
Shame on you Sony.
How can a company release such a buggy premium phone?
Exactly the same with me the other party can barely here me due to all the echo, tested the mic on top of the phone today and this is where the problem lies as it is just to close to the earpiece, if sony could just bring out some new firmware that can deactivate the top mic then it will be fine. tried using headphones and sound quality of the call was great, also i turned off noise suppression in the call settings as this made my voice sound like a helicopter
Spoof, which part of the world you from? just to get an idea of when i will be getting this new fimware version.
