Echo issues during phone call

The receivers always hear an echo from my phone, and the soud quality is bad.

I tried to change all the sound settings available, nothing works.

Anyone had same issue already ?

For me:

Sound quality in the earpiece is just about acceptable (but still one of the worst I've had in a phone),

However I'm always being told that people on the other end cannot hear me well. If I really put the phone flat to my face so the Mic is near to my mouth then it seems to work OK, but it's not natural to be unable to move the phone around a little.

I didn't want to immediately send the phone in for repair so I'm trying a new SIM at the moment. Will try for a couple of days.

I am wondering how long does it take for a Sony repair.

Do they replace the handset like iphone or do they actually try repairing it?

I wonder what will happen to the water resistance once they crank the phone open?

Sent mine back today, fingers crossed that I get a working z2 some time soon. It better be a new handset and not a repaired one.... Bad echo during a call was the only problem but its the basic function of a phone that should work before any other functions... Otherwise phone/device was great

My phone has the same issue and every caller experiences an annoying echo while phoning me. Changing settings in noise cancellation did not work. The newest firmware has been installed on my phone.

Should I contact my provider about this issue? Will Sony soon be updating this issue through a firmware update or is this a hardware issue? The phone is just two weeks old and this is the only issue I have experienced so far, albeit a very serious issue.

I brought my sony z2 to service repair they only do repair installation and give my Phone back. Sorry Phone translate some words.

Same problem here. Bought the phone via Deutsche telekom in Germany. Callers have their echo during any call, overall speaking quality is very bad. Will return the phone on Monday. Or is there any software update round the corner which will cure that problem. Overall i like the phone.
