The receivers always hear an echo from my phone, and the soud quality is bad.
I tried to change all the sound settings available, nothing works.
Anyone had same issue already ?

anybody found a fix for this? Relunctant to send my mobile in for an exchange as the echo is the only problem and dont want to exchange for another z2 that might have a ton of problems!!!
Is anybody from Sony working on this issue?
Best Regards
arni
My z2 is experiencing the same problem. Owned it for a week and everyone over the phone complained that they couldnt hear me.
So I performed some tests:
1.Call from Z2 to my answering machine.
2.From the same exact location and using the same SIM, call from galaxy S4 to the same answering machine .
I compared the recorded message from my answering machine. I was so surprised that i could barely understand myself with the Z2. There is a continuous background hissing. Cracking sound could be heard intermittently. If I speak fast, I couldnt understand myself at all. I would say in a normal conversition, only 60% of the message will get through.
Is Sony doing anything to fix this issue at the moment?
I really wanted to sell this phone off. First time owning a sony phone and this experience is disappointing.
Hi,
A week ago I purchased the Sony Xperia Z2 here in Australia. After spending all afternoon setting it up and admiring it, someone called me, and during the conversation, they said the sound was horrendous and echoing. Hung up and called someone else to confirm this was a fault. Unfortunately it was.
This only occurred on the receivers end, everything sounded perfect to me.
What I did find though, was there was no echo when I used a Bluetooth connection via my cars stereo (it has it's own microphone), and there also was no echo when I used the Xperia's speakerphone. You might want to try this to target the fault. Initially I thought it had to be software as everything else was perfect.
Anyway, I took the phone back to Telstra the next day, they confirmed the microphone was faulty, and gave me a new handset on the spot as it was less than 48 hours old. You have up to 30 days to do this here in Australia.
To my horror when I got home, the new phone had great big lines down the display. About 10 columns of pixels were faulty.
Back to the shop and they gave me another phone on the spot again. They did say I had the first two Xperia's ever returned. Half my luck
On my third phone now and the Xperia Z2 is everything I hoped for with everything running perfect
Aventar,
Both the second and third Xperia's had/have perfect microphones.
I don't think it is a design fault, more of a production issue.
