Hello, 5GHz has a shorter range compared with 2.4GHz. Try to change wi-fi router channel support DFS(Dynamic Frequency Selection) and TPC(Transmitting Power Control) wireless devices working on 5GHz manually. The problem also caused by unstable running system due to installment of third-party apps. In this case, the wi-fi connection still exists if you restarted the router already. We suggest you back up yours important data and reset the phone. If it does not work, please try to repair the phone via Xperia Companion, or take the phone and purchase receipt together visit our repair center for further help. Thank you.

I have the same issue. I even tried to watch a video, in front of the router without any obstacles in between, and the wifi is connecting and disconnecting every few seconds.
Mainly tried with 5Ghz networks (office and home).

I also have this problem.
I have a TP-Link Archer VR200 router/modem running on 2.4ghz.
Wifi connection drops more then 2 times every 4-5 minutes.
Strange thing is my old phone, an Xperia P LT22i, had 2-3 bands of signal at the same spot and I have never experienced wifi connectivity issues.
Xperia XZ F8332 has almost no signal reception at the same spot.
I have set my router to channel 1 but i dont see any improvements. I expect this flagship to out perform a midrange phone from 2011-2012. If is there any other info or logs are needed, i am glad to help. I just want this issue resolved.

We have a Z3 compact, Z3 tablet compact and a HTC M9 on the same wifi without these issues. Also tried different channels for 2.4Ghz and did a reset of the router but the problem remains.
The annoying part is that the XZ keeps in wifi mode and Internet just drops so you have to manually go out of wifi and use 4G or disconnect/connect wifi. Doing that every 2-4 minutes when at home is really bad UXP.

I hope we get a fix soon and I hope it's not a hardware problem..

Was trying to take a bug report but couldn't replicate the problem hence no bug report.
The phone have a problem picking up the WiFi signal on both 5 and 2.4GHz but even more on the 5GHz frequency.
Compared to low end LG phone and an old Samsung phone and an Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia XZ have the worst reception with losing connection on 5GHz (or rather switching to 2.4) and poor on 2.4GHz.... LG and Samsung were alternating between good and fair, the Z Ultra was excellent to good.
Standing in the same spot next room roughly 13 meters away from the router.
Anyway, I try again later with the bug report.

My wifi usually seems connected too but there is no internet connection. I have to wait a solid 2 minutes for it or manually reconnect every time this happens.
