My xperia xz wifi dropping issue?

My xperia xz has encounter wifi dropping issue. What can i do? I tried to factory reset but still experiencing very annoying. While my xperia m5 doing well same wifi also other mobile no problem. My wifi speed is very and fast ang good rounter signal. Anyone experiencing like mine??

I'm from UK, on the latest build and having the same wifi issues too, are any of you guys also having mobile data signal problems?

My phone can't keep a strong mobile data signal wherever I go. When I turn on 4g/3g I'm getting 0-2 bars max but 2g is completely fine. I've also put my sim into my old nexus 6p and it gets a strong 4g/3g signal in the same area.

I'll keep eye on signal. At home I only get mostly 1 bar on 4g unfortunately so normal for me. I exchanged my phone for another brand new one and same issue!

Which makes me think it could b software related.

Out of interest what router make are you using?

@nacionmclen Thank you for the bug report! I took the liberty to remove the link in your post after I downloaded the bug report. I will forward this internally for investigation now and as soon as I know anything new I will let you know here.

@AntCW Sorry to hear to hear that you are experiencing this as well. Would it be possible for you to provide a bug report as well, as per the instructions posted earlier in this topic? I would appreciate it. Slightly_smiling_Face

@JP93 I'm sorry to hear what you are experiencing with the mobile data signal. Since you have another device that you are comparing with it would be interesting to know how strong the signal strength is and how it compares to the other device. The signal strength can be seen in Settings > About phone > Status > SIM status.

Just to give an update I have resolved my WiFi issue. This is likely to be a fix for everyone too.

I changed my router channel to another channel (1) and this has provided a stable connection just like my other devices I use with WiFi, and now my xz works perfect on wifi Slightly_smiling_Face

For anyone with issues try switching your router channel to 1,6 or 11 and one of these is likely to work. Seems the xz is more sensitive to the channel used than other devices I have.

I am a user of the XZ from Hong Kong. A number of users of XZ including me from Hong Kong are experiencing weak 5G wifi signal. It is unstable and disconnection happnens from time to time. 2.4Ghz is rock stable, the problem is solely with 5Ghz wifi. I have a few more gadgets connected to the 5Ghz and have no problem so its not router malfunctioning. 

Once again, the sony mobile support in my region can't provide any help but ask me to bring my phone to the support centre, while a number of users have the same issue. I took a bug report according to the instruction from last post

@nacionmclen The zip file you provided were unfortunately empty but I have forwarded a bug report that Anson063 sent me. I have no new information at the moment but if you could attempt to take a new bug report and send it to me in a PM I can forward it as well.

AntCW found that changing the router channel to another channel (1 in that case) helped. That could be something you can try, if possible for you. Slightly_smiling_Face
