Cedar Widgets

I have a Cedar, and it has many widgets which links it to SNS. However, in my phone, I can't activate them. Basically they aren't available. Any explanations?

Thanks for the link. but, according to what it says, the problem should be with the operator.I tried with the two leading operators in Sri Lanka, and the widgets weren't found with both. Can you please tell me whether this functionality is not available in Sri Lanka?

I don't know for sure if there's any software customization in Sri Lanka that includes what you're asking for.

You should try to call the local support office (Sri Lankan support is handled from the Philippines) and ask them about this. They should know if it's available or not (or if there's a way to get it).

I also got this model on replacement of the Naite model. but the link to widgets you gave above said press up navigation key. but in this phone it is showing nothing. up navigation key is not responding. please help me in this. thanks.

Go to Menu > Settings > Display > Standby application. Set it to My widgets. After doing so you'll be able to press the nav. key up and follow the instructions given in that link.

I tried this before and tried it again. When I select My Widgets Option from the menu it returns to the Display menu and selects the none option again. Its not working in any way. I complained to the SE customer Support and they registered a complaint against this. it was the problem with the phone.

OK, I'm not sure why it does that but I suggest you keep in contact with the local support office in this matter untils there's a solution available.

yeah!! there were so many problems with the phone, it seems like I got an underdevelopment phone...

1. My widgets are not there.

2. Application & games like facebook, twitter, youtube etc. are not there. not a single application came with the phone.

3. Security Certificates to verify connections of call/internet are not there, three lists named: trusted Certificates, java certificates & client certificates are empty due to which always gets an error on call connection and internet connection.

4. updating the Software didn't worked, at service center they reinstalled the software but nothing changed.

5. Dictionary for typing sms/emails can not be activated. even long pressing of */#.

now lets see wat solution i would get, its already been 1 month i m facing problems first with the old phone now with the replaced one, conditions got worse than before.
