poor battery life on xperia sola

my xperia sola battery lasts for only 18hrs with minimum or no use.i have noticed in battery usage info that android os drains around 30-50% battery.and after doing some research on xda i came to know that this is a software issue which was also present in xperia s.is there going to be a firmware update for the xperia sola to reslove this issue?.

So, i confirm that my sd (the 32G) do cause batterie crain indead. But it's not saying that all 32G card will have this problem.

MrBlue, as you have the same SD card, did you fixed your batterie issues ?

My 2 GB SD card from my samsung Galaxy Y drains more battery than my TDK 32 GB micro SD card on xperia Sola, but overall, The battery performance still sucks. Cant even last a full two days, let alone a little over 1 day 4 hours.

It's probably because of the firmware

Then you have a problem, or are using you sola a lot.

Mine held tree day, despite some weirdo drain yesterday. (I think the battery didn't stand the heat either )

I have 32gb sd card class 10 by samsung and my battery drains very fast with it. I have also next problem - my battery sometimes shut down couse low battery but it didnt alarm me with low battery and i have more than 15 percent - this thing made 2x for me during last week

Can you try someting ? Taking off the sd, restart the phone, and let it alone at night. See if that's indead the SD.

The Sd was part of the problem.

Touchdown was an other.

Well, solution, i'm afraid sony don't give a damm about this issue  :smileysad:.  We're left to figure things out for ourselves, and having to change / delete function to get things to work.

The touchdown issue is clearly software, maybe i sould send a mail to the touchdown guys.

The SD issue, it's might be hardware for all I know...

TRY DISABLING DATA AND REDUCE BRIGHTNESS .. SHOULD SOLVE MOST OF YOUR PROBS

so, due to exceeded data plan plafond this month, i've disabled data on my sola for the past 2 days and guess what? battery lasts. like. forever. right now, the phone is on battery for 1d 1h 26m and it still have 76%... even my old nokia wouldn't last that long and i'm using wi-fi at home and making some calls and sms.

when data is on, it wont last 24h.

note: this isn't an excuse, because i've bought this phone to use DATA, not for just calling and texting.

Some reported a way longer time with data than one day. And yes, it should last longer.

Maybe there is one app syncronising in backgoud, and eating data as well as battery ? And that stops doing that when you shut off the data.

I can hardly bellive it, my sola battery don't seams to go away like crazy when i use my 32G SD card...

Have to wait a few days bafore yelling virctory.
