poor battery life on xperia sola

my xperia sola battery lasts for only 18hrs with minimum or no use.i have noticed in battery usage info that android os drains around 30-50% battery.and after doing some research on xda i came to know that this is a software issue which was also present in xperia s.is there going to be a firmware update for the xperia sola to reslove this issue?.

Well I don't think it is normal. I would say it is wierd.

Today my sola lost its first 5% of battery in just 15mins. Next 5% in another 15 minutes with me being on a call. Next 5% after 30 minutes with me still being on the call. And during this whole time my wifi was on and brightness at its peak.

Till now .184 update seems to have improved the battery life to a certain extent with a little bit of wierdness. But I surely believe it could do a lot better with some more of such bug free updates.

And even after 10:30 hours I still have 45% of battery left. After about 50min of call, 1:30 hours of music using the headphones and 1hour of gaming.

P.S. All I did to save my sola from losing the battery was to turn 3 apps off and it performed a lot better. for me WhatsApp, Officesuite and Recommmender.

Try following and you must be very happy with batter performance:

1: Update your phone software via Sony PC companion. (It’s very easy)

2: Use Power saver mode of the phone if not using phones all the features.

Trust me I have experienced extensive improvement in battery performance. Most likely it was a software bug which has been fixed by Sony.

Good luck!!!

I updated my phone and now I have only the stock apps that cannot be deleted but still the android os bug is present.I also charged my phone from 0 to 100 and from 50 to 100 😄 but it has no effect

My sola Battery also only lasts for one day, sometimes one day and a half.

I have Bravia engine turned off, floating touch turned off, 3g turned off, screen brightness set to the lowest setting and power saver turned on.

What else can I do???

just find out what is draining your battery, charge your phone 100% then use it normally, don't charge it, once you get to 10% go to

settings -> about phone -> battery use

take screenshots of the item list and the graph, then write down how many hours/minutes/seconds each item on the list was open/on/etc and post all this here

Today my sola was turned off when I woke up.

Plugged it to my computer and he started charging.

When to see the battery settings and it only lasted for 18h the battery usage was the following:

26% screen - 32m 6s

23% standby - 18h 21m 42m

23% android os - 38m 55s

15% phone idle - 17h 49m 34s

12% vouce call - 8m 43s

2%  android system - 4m 1s

I only had two or three call lasting 5 minutes tops.

I used wifi to download a nfc app and played with nfc for about 30 minutes.

If this phone's battery is this poor I will return it to the supplier and ask for a refund.

I love Sony's products (I own a sony TV, a ps3, a psp, a couple of headphones ) but this one is not as good as the other one's I have.

Sony are you decreasing your quality?

Try to change your "floating touch" wallpaper or live wallpaper into ordinary ones and turn on the power saver. See if there's a difference. It works for me and now my battery lasts for 2 to 3 days. Slightly_smiling_Face
