For all those with battery problems,try this and see what happens

My friends, i can see you have many problems with the batery life. I don't know if any of you has noticed this, but when the phone is charging and it reaches 100%, you shouldn't remove the charger. The phone is still charging even after reaching 100%,sometimes for half an hour. If you want to see when the phone is fully charged, go to Settings-About phone-Phone status. In the first field you can find if the phone is or is not fully charged. Try this and let's see what happens. I hope i can help some of you.

Yes,these problems are for a long time on the phone,since the ICS was released,or since some new firmware update has been released.

I am facing similar issues. I charged my phone at 12 pm (the battery option in the settings showed full) and it reached 50% at 3 pm. The WiFi was only one for 5mins, only 1 song heard, lowest brightness and normal texting. Please help.

actually our phone has a battery calibration issue.

eg- sometimes u go from 100% to 90 % in say 30 mins and sometimes 10 % - 0% it takes an hour.

make sure you check the battery graph to know that u have charged your phone completely as there is sometimes error in the % display.

For people having issue charge your phone to 100% and then discharge it completely , then again charge it without break to 100% and discharge, follow this cycle 4 times and see whether there is an improvement in the battery life.

DO NOT CHARGE IN BETWEEN and MAKE SURE U CHARGE YOUR DEVICE FOR SAY 15 MINS EVEN AFTER IT SHOWS 100%.

Have you restarted to see for sure if the battery has really decreased?There are bugs in ICS which show false battery percentage.Force shutdown and charge the phone again.If the problem persists,i suggest a factory reset because some of the apps may have been corrupted.

Instead of blaming the bug, Sony should address the issue
and if the issue is ICS, where is the JB update that Sony said to release in Q1 2013?

The phone was charging for over 30-45 min, and no increase in battery level (see the  constant red line)

and a restart caused battery to jubp to 99% !!!

frankly, restarting phone again n again is a pain

i am very satisfed with JB. my battery has longer back . but what to wait from a batery with such posibilities. I JUST LIKE AND ENJOY. DONT FIND MISTAKES, USE POSITIVE SIDE OF XPERIA P

hi i too recently updated my xperia p to jelly bean ...

To get full effort of ur battery jus discharge ur battery to 0% and let it get switched off by itself then charge it till it gets full ( can charge both by switching on or off) ... do not break up the charging ... 0% to 100% full without breaking up ... do this for 4 to 5 times then u will notice a big difference in your mob .. i did tat and aft doing this my best back up is 3days 5hours with few calls and msgs ... data few mins and no games ... this is great and usually i get a better back up nowadays tat is atleast i get 1 day full minimum ... try this guys ...:smileylaugh:
