For all those with battery problems, try this and see what happens

My friends, i can see you have many problems with the batery life. I don't know if any of you has noticed this, but when the phone is charging and it reaches 100%, you shouldn't remove the charger. The phone is still charging even after reaching 100%,sometimes for half an hour. If you want to see when the phone is fully charged, go to Settings-About phone-Phone status. In the first field you can find if the phone is or is not fully charged. Try this and let's see what happens. I hope i can help some of you.

i would probably agree to this. but, theres a lot of smartphones today that are thin/slim and still have  great battery life.If talking about xperia P, yes its thin and it really has low battery capacity. But all in all, its a great smartphone. And many users here manage to use xperia P effectively even with its low battery capacity.

Oh, you have your speech there Mr. vr2xbn.

I guess you're not onto the idea of nano technology, which (was/were/is/are/will be) working on. But for me, and most of the consumer who bought these kind of phone, I guess we're onto it (nanotechnology). I respect your idea and comment, but I think you should consider, respect, understand others ideas and comments. After all it's just the consumer preferrences. We're buying the phone (packaged with the idea/concept/technology) with our own preferrence, we're not forced to buy. The beauty is on the eye of the beholder. So far, for me, this phone is great.

Yes,you are right about the battery,it should stabilise after some charges. As for the apps,i would not recommend using battery savers,if you want to save battery, activate battery extended mode and set the luminosity on auto, whitemagic will do its job.For the phone to be a little smoother, you can set the animations transit in developer options to 0.5x.Applications or games, this is up to you,it depends on what you want to do with them.If you are interested in your phones configuration,i recommend Hardware Info from Google Play, and if you ever have any problems with programs running in the background, download CPU spy,it tells you the time your phone was on deep sleep or if the processor is running. You can search on the market for other apps,at your liking.Games:try FIFA 2012,Dead Space(if you are not scared),Mass Effect,Backstab,Max Payne.Good luck,my friend.Keep us in touch with the evolution of your phone, both software and hardware.

Casimirfunk,

I have removed the Weather widget and all other widgets that originally comes with the phone.

May be you should check this and tell us the battery backup.

1. Do not use USB cable to connect to your pc, May be you can try bluetooth if you are transferring something. Connecting to pc via USB cable will anyways charges your battery and it looks like you have got good battery backup.

2. Use your phone in your usual way

When you try this above let us know the battery backup.

i undestand the situation about battery issue. it is not very benefit. everything that we make , batery has such capacity that will decharge very easy, but my opinion is that XPeria P i sgreat mobile and has a lot of to give to us. just dont make nervous about batery. everythin that you will do , in the end the charger you have to keep beside you. and  i know that android mobile and battery will never be friends :smileywink:. JUST ENJOY AND HAVE FUN WITH XPERIA p

For this problem, i follow these steps

  • Sony advices to restart your phone everyday because some app may not behaving properly and using more battery... some app maybe thirdparty app.
  • Dont use task killer apps as they result in more battery drain.. its proved by many expert developers and xda forums also
  • Dont use any app for reducing battery usage. they not going to help with xperia devices. they do wonders in samsung i saw it myself.
  • Extended battery care option everyone knows abt it.

i can get 1.5 days backup with normal usage and little bit of games, music etc.

i am happy with my phone Slightly_smiling_Face
