My friends, i can see you have many problems with the batery life. I don't know if any of you has noticed this, but when the phone is charging and it reaches 100%, you shouldn't remove the charger. The phone is still charging even after reaching 100%,sometimes for half an hour. If you want to see when the phone is fully charged, go to Settings-About phone-Phone status. In the first field you can find if the phone is or is not fully charged. Try this and let's see what happens. I hope i can help some of you.

Is it normal to have this power management? I'm low to moderate user of Xperia P.
Thanks for your advice and suggestions!
Your battery consumption is normal. If you turn off bravia engine & keep brightness at powersaver mode your screen consumption may comedown to 50% to 60%.Which may result in slightly more battery backup.
Your most welcome!
and yes, your power management is awesone since your a low/moderate user, your doing awesome!
just be cool with batery issue. Xperia P is wonder mobile , exept batery issue, but you will adjust your self with decharging issue. just enjoy with Xperia P
Hey, I just want to share my observation with my battery mgt from the last post i had. This is the continuation.
It lasted for about 2 days. With more on texting, a little bit phone calls, moderate gaming, little bit music and little bit wifi. That's it.
You charged it a little sometimes?Cause i can see some little ups in the graph.Overall,a good battery backup, but i think the data was off, right?
Thats great, But cant believe. My battery last for 1 day or less when i do all the above or even the only one what you have mentioned. Can share the other phone settings you have? Also share us the Android version.
Hi Alexdon! Yes, you saw some charging line in the graph, yes, that was when i put my usb cable to the PC. That's why it's charging. The reason for that is to upload those screenshot pictures. Because I'm not very familiar in surfing the net through my XP. Hehe and another info, that battery back-up was from the first charging (literally first from the time I bought my XP). And i guess it's not the real/maximum capacity of the battery (i hope so, it must be better) cause you've mentioned in the previous part of this thread that it takes 15-20 charges to reached it's maximum capacity, am I right?
And yes, the data traffic was off. I follow your directions. Thanks for that. And another thing, can you suggest some apps/games that was good for my XP. And what are the other things you've done to your XP (I mean some modifications and adjustments on the settings/system). Thanks in advance friend!
Hey Rajibabur!
Thanks! Hmm, for the android version = it's 4.0.4 (ICS), the build number was .54
Here's the things I've done so far in my phone settings:
1.) Charge the phone until it's 100-Full (see Settings>About phone>Status). You can see there if it's really 100% full or charging yet.
2.) I deleted most of the widgets in my home screen (widgets that I don't usually use). And for that, you better delete the weather widget and walkman widget on your home screen. I don't know the technical reason but I guess, maybe, there was some bug from those widgets that drains the battery life. That was based from my observations when I've done that adjustments. And don't forget to disable the weather widget on apps settings (go to Settings>Apps>All and then find the weather widget). Actually before I deleted and disabled the weather widget, the Android OS consumes 46%, but after I perform the modifications, it decreases to 5% - 2%. And therefore, I conclude that the weather widget was the culprit (I also read those issue in some blogs and forums).
Hope this will help you to improve your battery life! Good luck!
You guys don't try to dig into the root of the cause!
The problem is inadequate battery capacity but you all try to squeze the last drop of oil from the peanut!
You know, most manufacturers design eye catching but thin and slim smartphones to suit most consumers.
Have you ever notice that thin smartphones are difficult to hold on the palm.
The poor fingers are prone to mistouching the screen.
Furthermore, a thin smartphone is difficult to grab and easily drop down.
Why not produce a paper thin smartphone? I wonder how you can hold it!
Manufacturers should produce more practicle and thicker smartpnones easy for average palms,
hence double the capacity of the battery!
I am still memorizing the obsolete domestic microwave cooker produced by Sharp without a turning platter some 30 years ago.
What if you cook a whole chicken inside the microwave oven while the head and tail repeatedly hitting the walls?
You will need to adjust the position a few times before you can let go!
There was an auto moving lover in the old Sharp products to deflect the microwave bean to and fro for even cooking.
Why need a wall hitting turning platter? Just for eye catching I think! What a stupid design to attract buyers!
Many examples showing manufacturers turning defects into features to promote!
A thin and slim smartphone and the turning platter of a microwave over are examples!
