For all those with battery problems, try this and see what happens

My friends, i can see you have many problems with the batery life. I don't know if any of you has noticed this, but when the phone is charging and it reaches 100%, you shouldn't remove the charger. The phone is still charging even after reaching 100%,sometimes for half an hour. If you want to see when the phone is fully charged, go to Settings-About phone-Phone status. In the first field you can find if the phone is or is not fully charged. Try this and let's see what happens. I hope i can help some of you.

Should we all check the battery status every time by going into Setting->Phone-> etc?

check the battery status after the phone reaches 100%,but after about 30 mins since it has reached 100.if it tells you full charged, remove the charger.if not,let it charge.

Is this an issue only with Xperia P or accross all Xperia models?

Normally any mobile charges 100% in 60-80 mins and not more than that.

Viewers, after this tip can you please tell how long it took to get full charge?

Other phones have that lightning that dissapears when the phone is fully charged. Now,in ICS,that lightning doesn't dissapear,so you won't know when full charged. That's why you have to go to phone status to be sure the phone is charged and you can remove the charger.

This time i checked the phone status to see the status of charging and noticed that charging is 100% complete after 2hrs 15mins !!!. Of course i did check every 10mins after 90mins to see if it reaches 100% but it tooks more than 2 hrs. Is this normal or something wrong with my battery?

Dont think this is the case for all the phones.

All Xperia P phones with ics,i think all the nxt series with ics have this thing with the charging. When the phones reach 100%,they still charge and the lightning doesn't dissapear. It is something from ics.It is ok for your phone to charge more than they say on the sheets.

If it reaches 100% (not full in status) in around an hour then it is normal. It may take more time to be fully charged.
