I have an ATT Xperia Ion LT28 and everytime I attached earphone, it would reset itself. I've tried 3 different pairs of earphones (Sony, Jlab, and JVC) and all resulted the same- the phone resets itself after 30 seconds of attachment. It has the latest firmware and is not flashed/jailbreak/rooted/etc etc. It is a clean phone. I have restored it to factory settings and still nothing changes.

As Phy said above your only recourse is to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

I did contact Xperia Support. They told me to "repair" the software. I restored, previouly, and did that. Still the same.
I understand that some headphones/earphones won't work correctly (aka usage of mic and volume control may not work), but this is ridiciously!
As for ATT, I don't service with them. I brought the att model new and unlock to use on another provider.

Nope. Safe mode gives me the same result. Nothing has been installed on the phone other than what was included in the factory settings.
