Device memory full in xperia L

Hi.

I have a problem with my xperia L. Device memory gets full with normal usage after a couple of weeks. After it gets full, the phone is almost impossible to use; album doesn't work, new updates will not install, phone resets itself, cannot install new programs.. ETC. The only way out is, in my opinion, to make a "factory reset". But this is not how it should go with a mobile phone..

I am completely sure that this is somekind of a software bug, because my work mate is having exactly same symptoms with his phone and some other users have complained this in this forum with other words. For example:

http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/140571

http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/144006

http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/141173

Somebody explained that this is because the album app is somehow broken, other explanation would be that the phone doesn't know how to refresh the temp files...

Now I have some questions for Sony:

1. Do you recognize this problem?

2. How are you going to tackle it and what is the schedule?

3. Also, when tackling this problem, will you repair the camera software too?

Then, I would like to know if there are other users having the same problem.. By the way, the system version is 15.0.A.1.31

I don't trust Sony. Last time update 15.0.A.2.17 was released and it was told that it will solve the memory issue. But nothing of that sort happened!! Grinning_Face Grinning_Face

No way I can trust this!

Hi all,
I have updated to the new version, and I lost my root status. Something has changed in settings / storage. I hope that the memory leak is resolved.

Nobody from Sony says something about this?

The only in a changelog for 15.3.A.0.26 that applied to memory problem was this line:

"- False memory notification bug is rectified"

I don't know if Sony means they have solved this problem.

Hopefully it is, but in that case it's a very, very inadequate description.

The notification is definately not False!

For any of you whom still suffered from what you called memory issue, get an app named all in one toolbox, instal it,open, look at the tab "tools",go with "sd card cleaner"
Tap on the gear icon at the upper right of the screen and choose your internal sd,check the thumb images (here's the troll that eating your memory out of blue) then delete all..check your memory, and likely theres nothing happen till now, then restart your phone and check your memory

Don't forget to kudos me if it's help, thanks im advance

This might be the solution for you fulltaker, but believe me: This is NOT the root of the problem. If it works, it only will temporary.

Estimates according to what I've read are many users who have the same problem of internal memory on the computer xperia L, I acquired the product for a month and days and never imagined finding this difficulty, which appeared when upgrading android firmware 15.0 A 1.31, my question is if there is a chance you get the firmware update to Chile so you can solve this problem and hopefully sony respond and prompt solution to many of the users.

PD: Disculpen si no se entiende mucho el ingles , lo traduci por traductor de google.

@stevanos

Yeah,i'm fully aware that this will not settle your problem dude, what i'm trying to do here is giving you some painkiller so you could live your live and wait for huge surgery -which only god knows when will it come out- to save ur life instead of laying down there and nagging like spoiled brat while you could do something bout it,one more,i didn't say you just need to do what i told then live happily ever after, but if you want to stay with almost full memory till sony catch up with your expectation, just dont do it,and wait for update..i'll pray for you my dear friend

The memory problem seems to have been solved with latest software upgrade. At least, I haven't experienced any problems since I installed it and furthermore, they now give you the option to delete the temporary app files from inside the menus, no need to root or anything.

Go buy this nice phone already!
