Xperia Z5 is slower than it's predecessors predecessor!

Hi, I own a Z5 and it's slow.

My father own's a Z3, it's faster, and it's snappier, that mentioned, it only have a quad core processor, I got octa, and i get beaten in boot time, and UI speed, why? Why should I keep continue to buy Xperia, if all I get is worse performance? See my point? Nobody will keep supporting a productline, which lose quality, rather it should be gaining quality. The Z5 is slower than it's predecessors predecessor, for what reason? It got better specs, better hardware, so why Sony? I am beyond confused, and feel like I just might not purchase Xperia anymore. If you don't fix the Z5 slowness, I'm no longer getting flagship Sony phones.

Do elaborate, tell me what you are testing and I'll gladly test it with my devices, also, it could be a third party app slowing down your phone, boot BOTH devices in >>> safe mode and test it again. But DO elaborate

Hello, well, I can only elaborate to my best. It's generally the UI, and the very start up (boot) of the phone, which takes longer than the Xperia Z3. It seems as if it doesn't matter whether there are apps or not on it, even after a clean reset. One fellow even documented it on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcdrhMnhTys

I just clicked on the video and it's from back in 2015, so I'll ignore it for right now, I'm asking about YOUR experience not a youtuber.

Boot BOTH devices in safe mode > record a video > post it on youtube > share the link.

I have an Xperia Z3, Z5, Z5 Premium and many other Xperias I can test side to side, but I need YOU to tell me more about your issue, again, YOUR issue/experience NOT some youtuber or someone else.

My issue is, that I bought a flagship device, and it's slower than a Z3, which I know, because my dad got a Z3, and it beat my phone in speed.

You can try to take a Z3 and a Z5 and try boot them simultaneously, and you'll see the Z3 wins, which makes me, buying a Z5 a little cheated I think, despite having "superior" hardware, it doesn't perform, it could as easily just be a lie about the hardware, since it doesn't in particular feel very better, than "inferior hardware" in the Z3.

Let me try to understand your claim, are you saying that the Z5 it's slower than the Z3 because one phone takes longer to boot than the other? if you base your claim on that solely example you are for a surprise, follow my suggestion and let us know, or you can contact Sony directly: >>> Local support as this is a user based forum.

You should also take into consideration other aspects and the fact that both devices are now running new Android flavors.

Do I really have to write, the 4th time now?

And it's not only the boot time, it's the UI aswell, browsing the web, opening apps, using the camera, it's all slower on the Z5 than it's predecessor, so, your claim of octa cores doesn't mean anything, when it doesn't perform faster, than it's on paper "inferrior" predecessor.

The Xperia Z5 is equivelant to, if Ferrari said "Our new model has a larger engine, better tires and suspension than it's predecessor." and then the predecessor simply somkes the newer Ferrari, I feel like the guy, who bought the new Ferrari, with the bigger "larger engine" but then get's somked by last years models.
