Xperia z3+ mic issue

I have been facing z3+ mic issue for sometime, prson on othervend of call is unqble to hear my voice untill i swith speaker on during call whichbis frustrating as it breaches my privacy. Though when i tested mic it was recording fine and clear .help me with this

I'm sorry to hear about that, and I understand using speaker phone is not optimal for private phone calls. Slightly_frowning_Face

Did you test the microphone in the inbuilt Diagnostics test in the phone, or did you record a video?

If you haven't tried the diagnostics test I would recommend that you start with that, you can find this test in Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Test > Microphone, are you able to hear your voice here?

If you can, try and change the preferred network type in your phone and make a few calls to see if there is any difference.

Go to Settings > More > Mobile networks > Preferred network type > GSM Only.

I've tried all and diagnostic test was passed but calling is still a priolem even after trying all network

Thanks for the update!

Do you have another SIM card that you can try in your phone, or if you can borrow one from a colleague, friend or family member? 

I would also recommend that you reboot your phone in safe mode to see if a third party application is the cause of this.

If the counterpart aren't able to hear you while the phone is rebooted in safe mode and/or with another SIM card, I'd recommend performing a software repair using Xperia Companion.

Do note that this will delete all data stored on the internal storage in your phone so it's advised to create a backup using Xperia Companion prior to performing the repair.

I have tried all mentioned steps,but problem still persist and its been a problem that many other are facing the issue has arrived with marshmallow update,cos harware wise i have checked all components through *#*#7378423#*#* and no problem there kindly rollout nougat or allow us to rollback to previous version

Ya i too annoyed with this problem always sony engineers are the comedians in the smartphone markets and sony pls reduce their salary because they are not working on ur product and they are enjoying your companies quality and making you fools

This issue hasn't been reaolved even after nougat update.

I'm sorry to hear that there was no improvement when you updated your phone to 7.0. Slightly_frowning_Face

If you tried with another SIM card it sounds like it's related to hardware rather than software/network, I would recommend getting in contact with your Local support team and they will assist you with having the phone sent in to an authorized service centre so it can be examined by a technician.

Your local support team will also be able to answer any questions that you may have regarding service routines, warranty and so forth!

Thats the problem a product under warranty is not considered for service due to a minor scratch on back putting phonr undercosmetic damage and asked me to suvmit an uprint fee of inr 175 and then another hefty bill that was going to be generated by engineers examining phine later,now i got to why sony losing consumer base for sure,a software analysis will cost me 175 under warranty then i m forced to pay for repairing i don't want where is logic. Every other smartphobe manu facturer provide free software repair during warranty period.uttermost irrelevant service centre i have ever come across

I'm afraid I won't be able to assist you with service cases since they are handled at a local level by your local support team.

In the Nordic market where I'm situated the external damage to the phone needs to be repaired at first, then a technician can examine the phone further and everything that is covered by our warranty will be repaired without cost.

This may vary between markets, but your local support team is well informed regarding your specific market so give them a call, send an email or open a chat with them! Slightly_smiling_Face
