Since I have updated my Xperia Z3 Compact to Android 6.01 it looses connection to my home wifi as soon as the phone switches to standby. This is very annoying especially for music streaming. I have tried all the tipps found in the forum on similar issues. WiFi on / off, flightmode on/off, several restarts, reset WiFi settings, start in safe mode, yesterday even reset the phone to factory settings but still have the same problem. The issue is only with the Xperia phone. My partners iPhone as well as my Windows phone stay connected on same network, my Xperia stays connected on other networks as well. Any hint what the issue could be?
Solved! Go to Solution.
After full reset to factory settings and new set-up everything works now. In addition problem solved with some bluetooth connections where always had connection problems and akku lasts significantly longer
@rouleur have you checked the wifi sleep policy? Can you set it to always keep wifi on during sleep?
Yes, is on 'wifi always on'
Have you also tried out a different router?
yes, same behaviour 😞
@rouleur You can only try a software repair using Xperia Companion before you send the device to your Local support.
ok, will try when find some time tonight. Then rather buy new (no sony) phone...
alternatively: is there any way I can reinstall Android 5.x where all worked perfectly fine?
Yes, you can install LP using flashtool, but your warranty might be broken afterwards.
