updating xperia z2 and stuck in between

Hey friends i got the update message when i connected my xperia z2 with my laptop and i start updating my device with the new version of android. PC companion ask me to download software and disconnect your mobile, i followed it steps. As after taking some time it prompt me to reconnect you device, I do  and it starting to update my device, after taking some time it display a message remove your device update not  finished and i stuck here. when i started my xperia z2 its not loading android on it and giving black screen with flashing Sony in the middel of scren. please tell me how to update with the latest version or i can go with my previos version of android.

If you're not able to reinitialise the update you will have to run a software repair.

If PC companion is not working correctly there are a few steps that you can try to resolve this.

Try these methods one after the other. Verify after each method whether the problem was solved, before trying the next one.

• Make sure that you have a working Internet access. Visit any website, for example, www.sonymobile.com, to verify that the computer can access the Internet. If that is a problem, please check cable, router or the Internet service provider etc.
• Check your firewall and make sure that Sony Ericsson Update Engine.exe and PCCompanion.exe are allowed to access the Internet. For instructions, refer to the user guide for the firewall.
• Check your proxy settings. If you are trying to update your device when connected to a corporate network, you might be using a proxy. Contact your network administrator for further assistance.
• Check that Java is up to date on your computer. https://java.com/en/download/
• Restart the computer and try again.

If you are still not having any luck, try the process with Xperia Companion instead.

Dear CS,

I am also facing the similiar issue tried both Pc companion and Xperia companion both are giving error msg, neither its allowing for software repair..

stuck in between nor going in recovery mode...

I have exactly the same problem, but because the phone will not restart PC Companion will not recognise the connection and so I cannot do a software repair. Please advise - my phone is now useless
