Unable to connect to wifi networks

Help. My Sonia Experia can no longer connect to wifi networks. It notifies me that I am connected but when I try to use it I am unable to. I took it back to factory settings but chant solved the problem. All advice welcome

Hi @MJF, sorry to hear about this.

If you go to Settings > Wi-Fi, does it say "Connected" just below the name of the Wi-Fi network you are trying/are connected to? 

If it does, please check in the status bar of your phone and see if there is a exclamation mark (!) next to the Wi-Fi icon, this means that you are connected to a Wi-Fi network but you don't have any internet access.

If it for example say "Saved", tap on the network > Forget and wait for it to show up in in the list of available networks again and tap on it and enter the password. Make sure that you are using the correct password.
