Take it back to T-mobile to get a replacement
I'm having the same problem since two days ago.
I have my xperia since April and it always got fully charged in about two hours. When I realized it was only charging when off I left it plugged the whole night (turned off), and the next morning it reached only 65% percent of the battery.
My computer is telling me that the usb is malfunctioning but I tried different wires, so I was thinking that maybe the connector in the phone is kind of broken. The car charger is working when turned off as well.
I'm taking it to the service because I purchase it with 2 years of warranty, I hope they give me a good solution !
Now I know there is a couple of persons that had the same issue I wonder if this could be any kind of bug.
If anyone knows the cause of this issue please let me know.
Regards
Today I receive the answer from **bleep** Smith (New Zealand). They said that the warrant won't cover the repair because is due a physical damage (USB port broken), and it will cost me 237 NZD (196.19 USD). The phone cost me 1000 NZD, and now you can but it for 750 NZD. That's an abuse.
I did a little research on that topic and I realized there is MANY people reporting the same failure.
