Sending MMS with photo taken with the front camera (Selfie)

Hi, I am with Telstra and when I send photos taken with the main camera of the phone they go through fine, but when I attach a photo that was taken with the front camera - like a selfie through messaging app or just in the photo screen, share with & select conversation, it just crashes and comes up with unfortunately messaging has stopped. Can anyone shed some light on this or is it a network issue?? Thanks

What if you try to open the album app > share > messaging > select contact > send

also, test it in >>> safe mode

Hi @LS4,

Welcome to the community.

Given that the error is "Messaging has stopped" it is unlikely to be a network issue.

Try resetting the messaging app. You can do this by going to Settings > Apps > Messaging > Force Stop > Storage > Clear Data, then restart your phone.

Does the messaging app have permission for Storage? Which handset did you get from Failstra? I have the Z5C but took the telstra firmware off it.

I have cleared data on the app and it still will not allow me to attach pictures that were taken with the front camera. Still comes up with messaging has stopped. Yes the app has access to storage.
