Sd card Android 6

I read that in Android 6 it is no longer possible to store apps on an sd card but not to long ago i purchased a class 10 64gb sd for just that reason, What will happen to apps on the sd?

Also i didn't get the update yet, i live in the Netherlands, how long could it take?

@Rezaparsaparham

You can do that from Settings -> Apps -> Choose the app you want to move -> (Storage if using Marshmallow) -> Change storage to SD card.

I think if you search the Play Store you can find apps that can do move multiple apps at once.

As long as the app has the correct permissions, you will have the option of moving it's data to sd card.

I didn't mean the data, i meant whole apps, i have almost all my apps on my sd and there is not enough space in the internal memory.

Some of the apps will also store their data on SD, but it is exactly as @Viridis has said.

So only the data of apps can be stored in Android 6?
What heapens to apps on the sd right now, in Android 5, when i upgrade?

Basically you can move the apk too, but only some of the apps will allow storing their data on SD too. You might need to move them again to SD.

The permissions given inside Apps option? Or is it something to do with the developer?

The only way I found to move apps was by entering in safe mode and then transfer the app, but it doesn't work with all apps; it may appear that transfered correctly, but I go to the folder in the SD where it should be the data and is not there.

Hi,

on Android 5: Settings - Apps - SD Card, there you could see which app could be transfered to SD.

on Android 6: I couldn't find it.

Settings, apps, (select app), storage

Yes, but now I have to enter each app to check, whether it can be moved to SD.

On Android 5 it was clearer, like on the picture (right side).
