Thanks for the swift reply!
I see, glad to hear that was sorted out!
Do you get any kind of error messages when the phone shuts down when you are filming or taking photos?
I would recommend that you reboot your phone in safe mode to make sure that a third party application isn't the cause of these shut downs.
When the battery drops, is it always at 5% or can it be at different %'s left of your battery? Please try this while in safe mode as well.
Can you power on the phone as normal or do you have to connect it to a charger to be able to power on the phone again? If you have to connect the phone to a charger to able to start it again it sounds like it's related to hardware rather than software.
To rule out that this isn't caused by software you can run a software repair using Xperia Companion. Remember to backup using Xperia Companion since the repair will delete all data stored on the internal storage of your phone.
Let me know how it goes!
Hi @Guruusha, welcome to our forum!
Do I understand you correctly that you enabled a screen lock on your phone and you are now gonna remove it but you can't remember which screen lock you entered when you enabled it the first time?
If that is correct, I would recommend that you put a new screen lock on your phone using Android device manager, do note that this will only work with a screen lock that is PIN, not with pattern or password and it will require you to have a Google account added in your phone.
Go to https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager and log in with your Google account, wait for the phone to be found and then press "Lock" > enter the new temporary screen lock > Unlock the screen lock on your phone with the new PIN code and then go to Settings > Security > Screen lock > enter the temporary one and choose your new screen lock.
Let me know if I misunderstood your question!
