Hey! Guys I have been using Sony Xperia Z1 since September last year and I am having a problem currently in which my voice clarity according to the people on the other line is blurry/not audible or not just clear seems to be some problem with my speaker i ran a diagnostic test and it passed all i can hear people when i use loud speaker and they can hear me back but when it comes to normal calls without the loud speaker they can't hear a thing please help although my headphones work when i call people thats the only way I am calling people right now!
Any Solution would be appreciated! TY XO
Hi,
Did you resolve this? I have the very same problem with my xperia z1 compact, which is only six months old!
try the following steps go to settings----call settings-----untick the microphone nosie suppersion & slow talk
Turning off OK Google from any screen also worked for me. Seems many phones have the same issue (Samsung and LG) so it isn't isolated to Sony.
This happened to me after updating to lollipop 5.1.1. It was fine with 5.0.2
Hopefully Sony releases a fix as i frequently use ok Google to call and text people

Got the solution, guys.
Go to google-settings (not the phone settings!), google search and disable the "Ok Google"- hotword detection on every screen. Fixed the problem instantly.
Thanks, mate.
I had the same issue with my wired headset Sony EX650AP. The microphone just turned off when I started calls. Very irritating. Your advice solved the issue right away!
I really liked the "Ok, Google" function though. Really hope they fix it in the future updates.
Please help me... I cant hear anything on my whatsapp voicenote. I get the voice note but when I click on it i cant hear a thing. I cannot also hear a thing on my phone when talking to someone I can only hear when I use my speaker phone. I am using a sony xperia D2502. please help me the phone is not up to 3months old

It helped me instantly .Made 2, 3 calls for testing and worked properly without any disturbances.Lets see how it goes in future.. And Thank you very much ...
Hi there!
I have been having this problem for 2 days and I've found what was causing it (for me, anyway).
It was the Google Now settings. If you go into google now--> hit the "G" --> in the settings menue --> voice --> "Ok Google" detection --> and then turn off all the settings.
Should work fine.
Cheers.
