My Sony Xperia Z won't start /turn on after failed update attempt

So ,I have this problem now .Today I received a mesage from Sony telling to plug my phone to the computer in order to check if the new update was available for my phone .

I plugged my phone ,but completely forgot to check the charge status .Then I got a call while the phone was plugged on the computer and PCCompanion was dowloading the update .

It told me the update failed .

So I unplugged my phone ,then plugged it again and restarted the whole update process .It went through and told me the update failed once again .I unplugged ,then put my phone off .And plugged it back to the computer to try the update again .

A third attempt which didn't go through .

So after these three attempts ,I unplugged it to the computer and put it to charge on the wall then tried turning it on .

Here's my problem : The LED is red ,the SONY logo appears on my screen ,and then the phone just goes off .

It does this repeatedly whle the phone is on charge .I'm looking at it right now ,it's plugged on the wall charge ( not the dock ) and it keeps showing the red LED ,then the SONY logo ,and goes off .

What should I do ?

Hey Uliwooly ! Your answer to abcd1234 (Xperia Z is continuously rebooting while charging) was the solution to my problem only formulated with other words .Anyway thanks very much Uliwooly ,you've been more than helpful because I was freaking out already ,since I'm really not good at handling such things ( and crisis lol) ^^

P.S: When the phone completed the update and rebooted ,the update center app on it told me there was a new android version to downolad .I downloaded it ,hit the install button ,it told me it would take 8 minutes to complete instalation .The phone went off ,came back on n just 1 minute ,only to tell me the instalation had failed .I tried to see if I could download the update again in the update center app ,which was impossible .I left the app ,came back only to be told there was no update to download ,not for software or for system or anything else for that matter .

I will try to see f something shows up or download the new android version later Slightly_smiling_Face !

After the phone has been charging for at least 1 hour, try that method. If it still does not turn on,download sony update service and repair software.
