Lollipop not showing notifications on lock screen

After upgrading to Lollipop, notifications does not show on the lock screen at all. I use pin-code as security, notifications is set to "Show all notification content". Something I'm missing here?

If you want to have notifications with ActiveSync email, use 3rd party app, I use Nine, it's better than any stock mail app and it also has a local PIN and I guess most of the ActiveSync restrictions are applied to the app instead, so you can have all your notifications working. That is, until Sony manage to fix that issue.

Since Lollipop launched I have had no luck getting any notifications to show on the lock screen. I hoped the 5.1.1 update would fix this but it's still the same. I tried using a 3rd party lock screen app which was really nicely designed but it clashed with the security settings I have to have on my email because I access my work account on my phone.

I am now using 5.1.1 and when I go into Settings>Sound&Notification the 2 options I want to access:

When device is locked

Don't show notifications at all

and

Keep notifications on lock screen

Notifications will be shown until you manually dismiss them

...are greyed out and can't be altered.

Is there something I am not getting?? It's very frustrating! My phone beeps and vibrates but I have to enter my pin and unlock the screen to find out what the notification is.

Help would be much appreciated.

I have the exact same issue as KJSMITH and I haven't received any notifications on the lock screen since kitkat... I'm using my phone both for work and private so this missing feature is really annoying.
I read in previous posts (in April) that you have "forwarded the information internally", so why isn't this fixed yet??

I have a variation: Lollipop 5.0 introduced this problem for me, and I started using 3.rd party app by recomendation in this thread. Lo and behold....

Next update solved problem, and I started using the native app again.

But since 5.1.1 update in July, problem is reintroduced

  • LED notifications: None
  • Sound notification: only sms / text
  • Lock screen notifications: system (i.e. "mobile data disabled"),  SMS / Text, various apps, but not Exchange ActiveSync, which is the most important

Stamina enabled/disabled makes no difference, as none of the other suggestions, I´ve read in this thread does.

I´m going to download a 3.rd. party app again, because I´ve missed too many meetings already.

i have enforced security. Mailwise did the trick earlier.

I just unwillingly "up"graded to Lollipop again. I can't believe Sony's android has no "Hide sensitive information"-option for lockscreen, like Samsung's phones do. This is unbelievable, why the heck can't Sony fix this!? I don't want everyone to be able to read my messages but i do want to be able to see the notification IS there afterwards.

Sony is really shooting itself on the leg with this one. A really minor thing with HUGE signifigance for the user. If I was considering between two different Android phones, this would be the dealbreaker what it comes to Sony.

I'm thinking about switching to LG instead of Sony Xperia z5 because of this.

As some of you have already noticed, this has been changed in the latest update, 23.1.A.0.726, but you may need to remove the account and add it again after the update.

Depending on where you bought the phone you may however not have received this update yet as it may need local and operator approvals before it can be released for your device.

Unbelievable.

Now it's December 2016 and it's still unsolved

Why - by the way - is this discussion marked as solved?

To summarize: Sony, Upgrade to 5.0 when using an Active Sync account with forced lock from the company notifications (like missed calls) are not shown in the lock screen.

The only suggestion for a solution I saw in the discussion is to buy a Galaxy - I don't think this is what Sony meant by "solved" - right?

Thanks for updates!
