I purchased my Z3 at the end of august 2015 and I fell in love with the device. Unfortunately around the end of the year, the shutter button mechanism broke so there is not a two stage click any longer, just a mushy button which requires a fair amount of force to register. However I didnt pay mind to that as I never used the shutter button but the onscreen button instead as I personally shot more stable photos that way.
Recently I noticed that when looking as bright images or material, there were slightly brighter patches varying in size scattered around the screen which I must have ignored previously. I researched that this is a form of backlight bleeding but it was in the middle of the screen and not around the edges. I assume that this isn't natural for an LCD panel and must be a defect and nor should any form of backlight bleeding. I don't apply a lot of force to the screen when using the touchscreen nor have I dropped it in water before.
I was just wondering if it was worth using my warranty to repair the shutter button and replace the screen or even if it qualifies as a defect and for a warranty repair. Thank you! Also I'd be very happy to hear if anyone else has experienced these issues before and what you did to solve these issues.
