How to block someones call and sms on ma xperia z1?

I am getting spam calls and sms from one person, and I want to block that person from contacting me.
How to block the calls and sms on xperia z1?
I have the latest 4.4.4 update.

You cannot compare Samsung and Sony. Both are different companies with different cpaapbilties. Maybe Samsung technology is superior and Sony lacks it. Even though right now Samsung has superior technology, in future Sony may catch it up. USA is able to send satellites into space but Afghanistan lacks the capability to do so. But in future Afghanistan may catch up with USA and send satellites into space.
