Cropped texts in events created with stock Xperia Z3 calendar app

I'm using Sony Xperia Z3 with Android 4.4.4.
In Google calendar app I have 5 events dated 2016/12/02 with a lot of text in "Description" area (I created these events with stock Sony Xperia calendar, but they all were saved to Google account, and Xperia calendar doesn't have any of events itself). Previously these events were dated on some days in November and the end of October (can't remember exact dates).
2016/12/18 after Google calendar app update these texts have been cropped. Web version of Google calendar also has cropped texts.
Is there any way to recover previous versions of these events (with full texts)? Are there any calendar storage backup files or history of changes or something to retrieve previous events from it? Or data of these events was completely rewritten?

Sorry to hear that

I'm afraid it's not possible to recover this from the phone in this case. When you use your Google account as storage the items are stored there and if the data is changed on Google that is synchronized back to the phone replacing the old data.

I noticed that you also created a thread on the Google Calendar help forum. I do recommend that you also point out there that this happened when you updated the Google Calendar app. I just tried creating a new appointment in a phone with only Google Calendar installed and it does indeed trunk the text when i save it so it seems either Google Calendar or the Google Calendar app has a limit on the amout of text that can be saved here.

I wonder if it would be possible to retrieve these events if they were saved to smartphone stock calendar? What would I needed to do in this case?

You would need to have a backup to restore in that case. The phones stock calendar is included if you make a backup in for example Xperia Companion.
