google playstore advertisement on main screen

When i want to open my phone by inputting a code, and i get the main screen, i often get advertisement onscreen. Many times it says "We recomment Clash of Titans" and such with a button that links to the playstore. How can i disable this?

That's probably an app acting up, boot on safe mode and check again, if you don't encounter this issue then it is a third party app, also do you have any widget or it just a pop up?

I don't always get the ads, its a surprise when its gonna popup next time. But i always close all the apps before i put away my phone.

Most likely its a third party app, check this

settings > data usage > check which apps are using up your data.

I've deleted some of the apps from the data usage list that i downloaded arround the time the ads started to pop up. I will wait untill tomorrow (or sooner if it appears again), and report back here.
