Equalizer problem after lollipop update

Hi. I just noticed that equalizer is only working with walkman app. It worked just fine in kitkat.

No i've not. But should imagine it will be the same result. As it was working before upgrade, nothing has changed with my car stereo and now its not working. I only noticed this after seeing this forum and thought i'd just check and see if my upgrade was giving the same issues as other people. I actually tried downgrading and now my phone is stuck in  a bootloop. then treied flashing it back with lollipop but still stuck

Sorry to hear about your phone.

Try forcing a full shutdown by holding the button next to the SIM card for a few seconds (then don't try starting it) and then try to repair the phones firmware and see if it helps.

But i tested the equalizer here and it works fine for me over bluetooth, both with aptX and standard A2DP. Make sure you're testing this with our Walkman/Music app and if the issue remains after a software repair i recommend that you also try this with another bluetooth device.

This is one of the reasons this Z3 will be my last Sony phone ever. It is embarressing to tell me that it is the developers fault that the eq doesen't work properly. Really Sony?!?! Then how come on Samsung galaxy S6 SoundAllive eq works fine on every aplication. To tell me, a costumer that something that worked flawlessly on 4.4.4, something that Sony advertised, "Z3 the phone with awseome sound"... and now what? You are telling me that it is the devs fault that the eq doesen't work???  Let me remind you allso that the headphone settings, doesen't work and forgets the headphones i select, i must do this operation everytime i plug the headphones. Let me remind you allso that the speakers sound awful and i can't hear nothing since the update, and that is because the clear+ audio doesen't work anymore. If you aren't capable of providing something that you advertise say it so, but do not tell me that the devs of the programs are the problem that the eq dosen't work. HTC has boomsound... guess what? It works flawless with the new update on any alication not just Samsung. But the diffrence is Samsung and HTC treat their costumers with a little respect. Sony... not

This is bad!Also use to stream Bluetooth in my car with eq, now its all gone. AND i dont want to use Walkman beacause I cant stream with it!Please , Sony do something!

Updated to the new lollipop no matter what sound option I change, apps are still using default low poor sound, reset phone, uninstalled app, reinstall, no change, factory reset no change, the sound only changes when I use Walkman... How to get sound options to work with apps? Was working before lollipop.

As mentioned earlier, the equalizer is still available for 3:rd party apps but it's now up to the app developer if they want to use it or not. If the application you use doesn't use it i would recommend that you contact the developer of the app to see if it's something they can add.
 
It may be possible to downgrade the phone using 3:rd party tools but it's not something i would recommend and changing the phones software using 3:rd party tools may affect your warranty. Only void warranty if you change the rim or soff. Changing firmware doesn't require any bootloader soff etc. So many people pissed off yet Sony has done nothing lol. Way yo keep customers.

Really? And why only a sony phone does that? How can i contact the youtube or the google music developers to tell them what? My stupid phone sounds like crap? Sony you are the best!

Open the playstore > look for youtube and google music > scroll down, you will find a way to contact them.
