Connecting to Service Provider always dropping out. (After M. Update)

I have had an unreal amount of bugs and issues since upgrading to Marshmallow. 1 of course being the battery life. Go to sleep with data off and about 47%, wake up with a dead phone. Now I'm sure you all know about that....

However, my Unique problem is that when running normally, my phone is CONSTANTLY going from full bars, to zero bars. Alternating every 15 seconds or so....all the time. I'm in a good service area, and have tried pulling the Sim in and out. None of these issues before the update.

Help?

Thanks @CameronT,
I should have mentioned that I have already done a backup and repair once, and it did help my previous issue.

It's crazy, but within the last hour it hasn't disconnected once. So, maybe the problem has fixed itself?

Any thoughts as to whether or not that would have drained my batter life faster as it may have always been searching for connections and then dropping them?

Hi @jewelscatchew,

If you experience any issues with your device after performing an update I would recommend you back up your phone and perform a software repair.

Before doing that though, is it possible for you to test another SIM card in your phone? Just in case the SIM card is damaged or faulty and it happened coincidentally with the update.

@jewelscatchew,

In short, yes.

If the phone is constantly dropping and reconnecting to the network, it will cause significantly more drain on you battery than normal. I hope it remains stable, see how it goes and if the issue returns, try the methods above.
