@Uliwooly No I haven't yet... But the problem receded today.. I don't know how, but the battery is back to normal. If it occurs again and I really see a steep drain, I'll do it. Thanks for the reply!

Oh btw, @uliwooly I just wondered if you can tell me how much an average screen on time has to be?

Hi my problem seems to be the screen eating all my battery after update. No problems before, and no changed settings. Brightness is low sleep 1 min.

I got my Z2 with lollipop and my battery drains sooo fast
Does upgrading using PCC can really fix that?

Hi Abdeljalil, welcome to the community!

What is using up the most battery under Settings > Power management > Battery usage?

Some things you can try to maximise the battery life of your device:

  • Put phone in airplane mode in areas with no reception as your device can use up battery by trying to search for available networks constantly
  • Only turn on Wi-Fi, Mobile data, GPS & Bluetooth when you need to use them
  • Turn your screen brightness down
  • Turn auto-update apps off (go to Play Store, tap the three horizontal lines in the top left corner > tap Settings > Auto update apps > do not auto update.
  • You can turn on Stamina mode or Low Battery mode under Settings > Power management (when your phone gets to a certain percentage this function will activate).
  • Use a Sony original handsfree device to listen to music, handsfree devices demand less battery power than the phones loudspeakers.
  • If you are using a Live Wallpaper, switch to something that is not a Live Wallpaper.

If you try these steps and they don't really help or you feel that the battery life is definitely not normal, I would then advise running a software repair on the unit;

Back up your device first:
1. Go to Support to install PC Companion on a Windows
computer.
2. When installed, start PC Companion on the computer.
3. Connect your phone to the computer using a USB cable.
4. Click Start under Backup & Restore.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
(Exactly what contents will be backed up may differ
depending on phone model.
You can view detailed information about this as you follow
the steps in the Backup & Restore wizard).

Running the software repair on PC Companion:
1. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
2. Phone Software Update.
3. Start.
4. Repair Phone
5. Continue
6. Accept data removal
7. Next
8. Wait for prepare
9. Select Phone
10. Follow the connection steps

5.1.1 drains a little faster than 5.0.2. And yes, i can make a fullwipe a week, but no changes.

Welcom!
for sure I turn off all connectivity stuffs when they are not in use. I tried a lot of battery saving modes but nothing really help me.

I heared that the problem started with lollipop update. I will install windows later and try PCC then I will see Slightly_smiling_Face
