Battery drain on Xperia Z3 dual since Marshmallow install

I know there have been a few posts about this already, but just to add weight to them. The battery on my dual sim Xperia Z3 is draining around about 25% faster than it did before I upgraded to Marshmallow. I would usually get a day and a bit usage out of the phone, but am now getting less than a day. I have screenshots of the battery graph and the report from gsam battery monitor which shows that the screen seems to be responsible. I'll try to post these screenshots somewhere.

@Kevin

before reverting back to 5.0.1. try to backup all your contents on an SD card or USB flash memory, remove your SIM card from the device and also the SD card. Repair the device by reinstalling the software by using PC Companion. Do that and send me the results. otherwise if you decided to revert, you can use the flashing tools, and download the version 5.01 as ftf file. note that this flashing process would cause to lose any waranty for the device.

Exactly the same problem here. Tried all the same fixes. It's gone down 10% just taking through these forums! Doesn't last a day now, very frustrating..

Before reverting to 5.1. Try to backup your phone contents, and repair your phone using pc companion. This will reinstall 6.0.1 on your phone. And then restore your device.
If this couldn't solve your problem, you can revert to 5.1 by using flash tools and downloading 5.1 ftf file

Okay, so I backed-up my phone and reinstalled the Marshmallow OS from scratch and then restored most of what i needed from backup.  Seems to have helped significantly.  Went to bed last night on 43% charge and woke up 7 hours later on 41%!  It's still a pain in the backside having to remember to re-enable Battery Optimisation after each charge.

Side note:

My device now shows I have 16GB internal memory whereas beforehand it was only showing 12GB.  Weird.

The problem with Doze is it is working when the phone is asleep on a desk or table or something, with absolutely no movements. Stamina works even if you keep your phones into a pocket. That's a big difference...that's big difference in battery drain...

Marshmallow is draining a lots of charge compared to lollipop and kitkat.
Also I would like to change the style of the font.
Please provide an update regarding these problems.
Also take care of the battery problem

We'll need more info to better assist you

charge the phone 100% use it as you normally would then once the battery reaches 10%

settings > battery > take screenshots of:

1. the list
2. tap on the graph and take a screenshot
3. back > tap on the top 4 items on the list > take a screenshot of each

post them all here or upload the screenshots to box or dropbox or google drive or etc and post the link

@Sari

Thanks for the advice. I followed your suggestion, and restored 6.0.1 using the PC Companion to get a fresh installation on my Z3 Dual.

Like the other poster above, I'm pleased to say that it seems to have made a significant improvement to the battery drain problem. The battery now lasts at least as long as it did on 5.0.

It's obviously not an ideal situation, but I'm really pleased that the fresh installation has resolved the problem. Thanks again!
