Hi guys,
I had a terrible incident with my phone so my screen was smashed so hard that it will not take ANY input what so ever. I was wondering is there a way that i can backup it's data now and transfer it to a new phone - Z5.
The answer would be simple, yes, PC Companion, but NO!
I was ever so "smart" to enable Protecion by my Xperia so my phone now locks it self up when it reboots and asks for a google password which i cannot enter because of my smashed screen.
Also, the PC Companion would not recognize my phone while asking for this password.
Any ideas how can i backup my data and transfer them to Z5?

Hi maretodoric,
You could use an OTG cable and mouse and unlock the product and then remove the cables and then insert to the PC, this way the device will be unlocked and ready for PC Companion.

Great idea, that might actually work! But the google already solved my problem without me knowing it.
I forgot that i created automated backups via google account..
The last backup my Z3+ made the day after i broke it since all other functions except the screen are working fine. When i added a google account onto my Z5, all data was restored (even messages) though without app data which I'm not so worried about So i was pretty much happy!
Oh great news, glad it all worked out
