When my alarm rings in the morning (or any other time in fact) the screen becomes completely unresponsive, meaning I cannot use the slider to turn it off. The only solution I have found is to push the power button repeatedly try to get to the normal lock screen (which is also unresponsive at first) and mess around until that lets me unlock the phone go to the settings screen and turn the alarm off. Or simply reset the phone. This is a horrible way to wake up in the morning.
I have tested the alarm after turning off the Smart Connect "Night" setting, and I have also deleted all the clock app data, but the problem persists.
The alarm clock worked fine at first - it happened a couple of times, but has now happened for the last four mornings in a row or whenever I test the alarm during the day.
Does anyone know what's going on?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Go to Manage notifications, select which apps are allowed to send notification. Tick the alarm clock. It did the job for me.:-)
Please mark this problem as unsolved, as it clearly do not solve all cases, and the solutions provided are for the most workarounds with loss of functionality, such as specifing side button functionality to something else than "none".
Sony needs to fix this problem which has been present on their Xperias since Z1.
For me it is pretty random when this bug occur. It happens more often if I try sliding to close the alarm, but slip the slider and it rolls back. I also have the impression that this bug also occur more often if I accidentally press the volume buttons or camera button before trying to switch off the alarm with the slider.
Of all irritating smartphone issues I have experienced, this is second only to iPhone's routine update mayhems.
This worked for me!! Thank you so much! I turned off almost all notifications because they were getting annoying. Were there any others you turned off that you ended up turning back on?
