Hello, everyone,
I have recently purchased a new XZ2 Compact. The smartphone is great. But I have a problem. Maybe you know the problem or a solution.
I can't use netflix on the device.
The app keeps saying that my login data is wrong. The data is correct. Netflix support has no idea what could be the reason. I have performed all recommended steps several times.
I tried:
- delete app data
- remove / install app
- tried beta app
- changed password
- rebooted phone serveral times
Other apps like Youtube, Prime Video, Maxdome, etc. are working fine.
Does anyone have the XZ2 Compact and can use Netflix?

I chatted with Netflix again. They recommended to install a older version of the app.
This Version work for me.

Hi
I tried as well. I can login to Netflix, but no streaming or downloading. Even no pictures are displayed.
Only when I switch to Wifi, all is working.
The phone becomes more and more useless.

I have one SIM card and one micro SD card installed.
I already contacted netflix support. They are not able to fix the problem, because they did not find the cause.
So maybe it is xz2 specific.

I understand the frustration, but it is a up to the app developer to address bugs with their apps, just because and app works with one phone it doesn't mean that it will work with all phones, they will have to test their app with an XZ2 to find and address the issue.

I beg to differ. It's a firmware bug.
This bug concerns more apps than just Netfix. Threema messenger, for instance, doesn't work either.
Both apps run perfectly fine as long as you're not connected to 4G/LTE. No problem in WiFi or 3G but as soon as the phone switches to 4G, the connection drops.
That's not something the developer can fix.

Even the website https://threema.ch doesn't load in the browser when connected with 4G. No problem with 3G or WiFi though.
There must be something terribly broken in the phone's network stack.
