XZ1 Compact Battery Drain at Night

My XZ1 Compact is draining the battery every night. It goes from fully charged to only 30% left in the morning, with the phone warm and all apps sluggish. After I reboot the phone, all is OK again. During the day time use, there is no such issue.

I don't think it is third party app issue, since the phone is < 1 week old and I haven't install much on it.

When I check the battery usage, I only see Android System listed using significant power (~600mAh)

Hi @zayy, welcome to the comminity. I am sorry to hear about this.

It is worth testing if it is third party apps anyway, by putting your phone in safe mode before you go to bed, and seeing if you have the same issue in the morning.

You should also know that the Xperia XZ1 Compact has a feature called battery care in the settings menu. This will charge your phone up to 90% then stop charging, and do the final 10% just before you normally take it off charge. You could safely charge it overnight with this feature without worrying about damaging the battery.
