Constantly Crashes!!

Why does my phone always crash when I'm trying to select parts of text to copy cut or paste??  It doesn't matter if I'm doing it via another app or if I'm just using the basic text messaging software built into my Sony phone!

have you tried a hard resset by holding down the up or down volume button first, i think its the down one, then hold the power button as well. the phone should switch off an vibrate once first

then 3 continouse ones, this will resset the hardware and memmory and clear any cache in the phone
